Preserving the wealth of detail that makes the sculpture so lifelike and powerful, each individual sculpture is carefully crafted of cold-cast porcelain and then lovingly hand painted by skilled artisans.  A stunning medallion lavished in a layer of gleaming 24kt gold is hand-set in the base to perfectly commemorate The Pontiff's historic Sainthood.  The medallion features a masterfully sculpted portrait of the beloved Pontiff and the year of his canonization.
