This collection includes the only FOUR silver U.S. commemorative coins that have ever been issued to celebrate the achievements of African Americans:
• Booker T. Washington silver half dollar (1946-1951)
• George Washington Carver and Booker T. Washington silver half dollar (1951-1954)
• Jackie Robinson silver dollar (1997)
• Crispus Attucks silver dollar (1998)
All four coins were struck in the beauty of 90% silver — a level of precious metal that has not been seen in circulating U.S. coins for generations. The silver half dollars are in uncirculated condition and the silver dollars are proof condition, the highest quality coins possible from the United States Mint. To protect their uncirculated and proof finishes, the coins are housed in crystal-clear holders that allow you to study every fine detail on both sides of the coin while keeping the coins safe from damage.
A custom-made wooden display case is also included at no additional charge.
