Uncirculated limited-edition coins enhanced with platinum and gleaming gold!
A quarter of a century ago in 1999, the United States Mint released the first coin in the Original Statehood Quarters series — the first series of circulating commemorative coins in U.S. history. Over the next decade, all 50 states were honored on limited-edition coins...and they were so popular that they revolutionized coin collecting and became the most sought-after U.S. coins of all time. Today, the coins are more treasured than ever before — but most were released into circulation, where they were hoarded into private collections. The U.S. Mint has not issued the earliest of these coins for over two decades, and those not snatched up were worn out or damaged in circulation. Just a fraction remain in original uncirculated condition, making it almost impossible to find even a single coin in this coveted condition, let alone the complete collection.
Now, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this historic coin series, you are invited to acquire the complete collection of uncirculated Original Statehood Quarters, beautifully enhanced with 99.9% pure platinum and 24kt gold. Introducing...The Complete Platinum and Gold Statehood Quarters Collection, available exclusively from the Danbury Mint and displayed in a deluxe wooden chest at no additional charge.
The Original Statehood Quarters series was a groundbreaking tribute to America. Mandated by Congress, it captured the nation’s imagination with its innovative designs and limited editions. In fact, each coin was issued for only about ten weeks before the dies were retired and destroyed. Despite overwhelming demand and rapidly vanishing supplies, the U.S. Mint is prohibited from issuing even a single coin again. Incredibly, this collection brings together all 50 state coins, from the first, Delaware, in 1999 to the 50th, Hawaii, in 2008. As a special bonus, the collection also includes the coin issued for the national capital, Washington, D.C., in 2009. It is a truly complete and unbroken collection — and each coin is in stunning original uncirculated condition. What’s more, the addition of two precious metals — 99.9% pure platinum and 24kt gold — allows for an even greater appreciation of the exquisite details and striking artistry of these uniquely American coins. Each coin is a coveted collector’s item in its own right, and together they create a set of unprecedented scarcity, meaning and importance.
To provide the ideal presentation, each Original Statehood Quarter is preserved in a crystal-clear holder that protects the coin and its precious metal enhancements...while making it safe to examine without fear of damage from dust, dirt or fingerprints. Each holder features the state name and the year the coin was minted. In addition, the collection comes with a handsome wooden storage chest to organize and protect the complete collection at no extra charge. Coins will be shipped at the rate of two every month, except for the final shipment which will include one coin. The chest will be sent at about the same time as the second coin shipment.
