The complete collection of one of America's most legendary coins.
The Buffalo Nickel was first made more than a century ago in 1913. The masterpiece of legendary sculptor James Earle Fraser, revolutionized American coinage with its stunning lifelike designs that uniquely captured the spirit of the American West. The Native American chief on the obverse is one of the most recognizable designs in American coinage…perhaps second only to the classic image of a buffalo on the reverse.
This collection features one coin from each year of issue, from the first in 1913 to the last in 1938. It includes all the key dates, most notably the rarely seen 1931 coin that is the rarest date in the Buffalo Nickel series. Each historic Buffalo Nickel is in gently circulated condition, a remarkable state of preservation for coins of this age and scarcity.
Each coin is individually encapsulated in a crystal-clear holder and surrounded by an ornately detailed silver-toned, zinc alloy frame featuring Native American inspired accents. The special presentation makes it safe and easy to examine the exquisite designs on both sides of every coin without fear of damage from dust, dirt and fingerprints.
What’s more, the collection comes with a deluxe glass-topped wooden display case, which will be delivered at no additional charge at about the same time as the second coin shipment.
This product was not crafted by Native Americans.
